The Deity of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is fully divine and equal with the Father and the Son. He is co-eternal and co-equal with them in essence, power, and glory. The Bible affirms His divine nature by placing Him alongside the Father and the Son in several passages:

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” — Matthew 28:19

“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.” — 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.” — 1 Peter 1:2
